drumming !!! - a bit of a change of direction - hurrah! - I like this one very much - of all the stuff I make, this is the kind of thing that closest reflects my real love - this on repeat and a boozy afternoon/week - they say that such happiness isn't "real", but when the stuff that's meant to be real doesn't feel real either, then why discriminate?

Yet again I must place my "PLAY LOUD OR NOT AT ALL" joker on the table. This one will instantly either be Love-It or Hate-It, and you can trust your instant instinct - nothing happens later that'll change your mind - though it does build slowly and doesn't really hit its stride till just over ten minutes in - then it cruises fairly safely - then for the final few minutes it (deliberately) wobbles a little.

Thanks to my habitual mangling of my cover photos it's not at all clear that the guy in the boat is actually on his mobile phone. Of course a lifelong gloomy predictable old luddite like me had to tut sadly yesterday at the folly of humanity - man goes off on his own in his yacht to get away from it/us/all, and he's barely out the harbour before he's chattering away to his family and mates and psychiatrist.

But then I'm thinking: if I was going out in a yacht on my own, me with just my wind-up alarm-clock and mediumwave radio and candles .... and then I started sinking - I'd actually really rather wish I'd caught up with the modern world a bit.

Ah well - I'll only be able to afford a yacht when my music starts raking in the millions. So lifelong-gloomy-predictable-old-luddite it is then.
