about

This one is very similar to the previous one - hardly surprising because I pretty much repeated everything I did the first time, only with different keys. No it's not Thursday Afternoon or anything posh like that that cost a million hours in a million pound studio but when you consider that it was made for nothing in no time and it's just the sound of that kiddy keyboard that your grandchild annoys you with every time she's dropped round at your place. And being as I assume all my listeners are all about a hundred years old I'm assuming your granddaughter is in her forties and plays piano like a pro. But even so, it is annoying that she can't just sit and stare at her phone like everyone else.

But of course from the listeners' point of view I don't expect it to carry any weight or garner any sympathy when I say "when you consider that ....." and then tell you why I think you should be tolerant of how clunky these things can be. If you needed life-saving heart surgery, you wouldn't be very impressed if the nurse told you that when you consider the surgeon is blind and has only been doing this job for one day and has never been inside an operating theatre in her life .... So no - time is precious - you only have so many hours in the day - you don't want to fill it with dodgy music by an amateur like me where you can hear my knees creaking as I knelt on the floor and pressed random keys and the batteries suddenly popped out the back of the keyboard.

Never mind eh. Glorious sunshine out there. I've got back into the cinema habit again and will off in a mo to see Civil War. I slept all through the Amy Winehouse thing last night - everyone around me said it was very good but I don't believe them - many of them come a long way to go to the cinema and they don't want to admit that it's all been a fuss for nothing. Me, it's just a short walk away and I can be honest - this album is just a kneel-upon-the-floor away and can be done a dozen more times in all sorts of various ways before the day is over, all for nothing, it's weird that I have the least technology of anyone I know and I am the one who loves it the most.

I will just admit that I am not a fan of backwards music and it's one effect I almost never use. I only don't mind it if you can't tell it's going backwards. Usually. That's not so with this one - because of the many wonderful quirks of the way this masterpiece was created, in the early stages you tend to hear more backwardsness than forwardsness - if you too are annoyed by going backwards then hang on, it does all turn around quite soon and I am hoping that my music-career will do the same
