about

.
like a Lidl's own-brand version of Steve Reich - speaking as a fan of Lidl and Steve - you won't be surprised to hear that this is one of my favourite things, and I won't be surprised when the stats show this one going down like a Titanic of cold sick.

It starts very simply, later starts to layer-up.

It's 2 different pieces of music really - played quietly, it is delicate music for a Japanese temple - played loudly (my preference) it is a dancefloor filler.

It's only lately that I've stopped using reverb, and this might be the first album that also doesn't use compression. However I've compensated for these things by using echo - to an extent that a Proper Musician never would - it's the musical equivalent of a child daubing a primary-colour triangle on top of a primary-colour square and calling it a house - I create a desert of echo and call it peace
